Deciduous perennial. Likes 
shade or sun and fertile soil.

New foliage growth is strap like 
with dark purple flowers all summer 
long. Looks good with Tradescantia 
Bilberry Ice, Heucheras, Cerinthe 
and Athyrium nippon Pictum. 
Not a demanding plant. Cut away 
all dead growth in the Spring and 
keep an eye out for slugs.
