This beautiful plant might be 
more at home in a garden in 
South Africa rather than a 
garden in Harpenden but if 
you have space in your garden 
this is an absolute must.

We must stress however that 
we have created a micro-climate 
n our garden and do not suffer 
much from frosts. Wrapping the 
plant in fleece and bubble wrap 
and placed by a wall and it 
should get through the Winter.

Whichever way you choose to 
grow the plant keep the roots 
constricted as it only flowers 
if it thinks it's dying - how sad 
and how rewarding!
