A garden design for a small
front garden with parking. 

The brief here was to create a 
front garden with maximum planting 
areas and space for two cars. 
It would have to look good with 
and without the cars. Block 
paving was not on the agenda! 

The area in question was drawn 
out and planned with the utmost 
attention to detail, right down to 
the last millimetre. It was imperative 
that it was not going to be just 
another boring block paved frontage. 

Although not a huge front garden 
this was indeed a major task. The 
first job was to dig out the whole 
area to a depth of 300mm. It is 
important to stress here that there 
are no half measures when it comes 
to providing a place for a vehicle 
standing. It needs to last for a very 
long time. The investment in preparation 
will pay dividends in the future.
