This Clematis has huge Wedgewood blue flowers with white filaments and brown-purple anthers. It will reach a height of between 2 -4 metres. The flowers are beautifully long and pointed with wavy margins and can be up to 220mm in diameter. It needs a heavy prune in February (down to about 12 inches) and will flower from May right through to September maybe beyond. It is my favourite Clematis - just feed it well and relax - a real corker! STOP PRESS.......Greenpinkies are proud to announce that an image of this plant, grown by Linda and photographed by Brian is to be included on the University of Hull website for the largest International Survey of Clematis on the Internet. |
