A fantastic shrub - essential in
the winter. It has bright violet
berries in the autumn and winter.
In summer the flowers are a pale lilac.
Can grow very tall so should be
placed at the back of the border.
It can be tamed quite easily to
keep it small and will even survive
in a pot to be placed by the house
to be seen during the late autmn
and winter.
Needs a bit of sun but generally
is a very tolerant shrub. Feed it
n the spring and mid summer and
give it a mulch of well rotted
manure in late summer to ensure
loads of berries. One of my
favourites to use in a border design.
